MVP Storage - Sheboygan Falls

MVP Storage is a locally owned storage company offering a wide variety of options to their clients. Being a family run operation from the area MVP has earned a very impressive reputation and so it was an honor for A Chappa Construction to be selected as the General Contractor for their new Sheboygan Falls facility.

This particular project was a challenge from the beginning.  It was unusually cold for the time of year meaning added winterization costs in having to use insulated blankets to keep the frost out of the ground.  If that wasn’t enough bad soils were found where the building was supposed to go.  It was through value engineering the decision was made to replace the bad soils with clear stone and go with a grade beam slab as opposed to footings and foundations.  This not only kept the project going, but saved money as well.

Structural steel was then laid out and erected in addition to the steel siding and standing seam roof. Framing up bathrooms, office space, and installing doors closed out the winter.  As spring approached exterior concrete, bumper posts, cleaning, and sealing interior concrete completed the process and turned over to MVP Storage.

It was through constant communication and team work that the job turned out to be such a success!
